Sophie - Speech Pathologist

Sophie is a certified practising speech pathologist with over 20 years of experience as a language professional, working in education, research, translation, disability and allied health.

Sophie has lived in the UK, Indonesia and Australia. She met her Bega-local husband when they were both studying at university in Perth. They moved to the Bega Valley in 2015 to raise their young family.

Sophie has speech pathology experience in public and community health, in the not-for-profit sector, and in private practice. Sophie has developed experience across a range of speech pathology practice areas to service the diverse needs of the Bega Valley community. She particularly enjoys working with clients to support: early intervention, language development, speech sound disorders, stuttering, cleft lip & palate, childhood feeding difficulties, augmentative and alternative communication, and adult swallowing, voice, motor speech and language (aphasia).
